Connecting with police communicators across the UK
Last week, we were pleased to attend the Association of Police Communicators (APComm) Annual Academy 2025, held at the Benton Woods Hotel in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Pulse joined the event on Wednesday 26th November, the middle day of a vibrant three-day programme bringing together police communicators from across Great Britain.
Pulse was proud to sponsor the Academy for the third time, having also supported last year’s in-person event and the Virtual Academy earlier this year. It continues to be a valuable opportunity to connect with this community and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to supporting police forces nationwide with their communications.
Event highlights
The event offered a packed agenda with keynote sessions, workshops, lightening talks, networking opportunities, and the APComm Recognition Awards ceremony. The event provides an important platform for sharing insight, celebrating achievements, and strengthening professional connections across the sector.
Our Managing Director, Marion, and Account Director, Rob, attended on behalf of Pulse. During our lightning talk, Marion spoke about the benefits of the hospital environment as a communications channel for police forces. She highlighted the value of this trusted setting in reaching a broad cross-section of society within the heart of the community, including older audiences and vulnerable individuals. Marion also shared how hospitals provide a unique opportunity to engage with people who may not have access to online platforms or other forms of media, ensuring critical messages reach those who need them most.
It was also a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate how we’re working with Derbyshire, Durham, Dyfed Powys, Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire and West Midlands police forces to support their objectives, while showing some of their campaigns in action.
It was wonderful to meet with both new and familiar faces, and continue conversations from previous events, as well as build new connections. We are proud to work with police forces across the UK and we look forward to working with even more teams throughout 2026.
