As winter approaches, a warm and energy efficient home is important for us all. For the vulnerable in our communities – including those with chronic respiratory or circulatory conditions – it’s vital. The Energy Saving Trust, in association with the Welsh Government and British Gas, provides funding for energy efficiency improvements to low income households and those in the greatest need.

Advertising the Nest scheme within the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend has proved extremely effective thanks to Pulse’s ability to target key departments and clinics.

According to Michael Took, Marketing and Communications Manager at the Energy Saving Trust:

“We started working with Pulse Outdoor Media in 2020 on the Welsh Government Warm Homes Nest scheme. The Nest scheme offers a range of free, impartial advice and, for those eligible, a package of free home energy efficiency improvements such as a new boiler, central heating or insulation. The Nest scheme looks to provide support to some of the  most vulnerable residents in Wales so our marketing is tailored to ensure we’re reaching these residents as best we can. Our posters and brochures positioned within specific departments at The Princess of Wales Hospital allow us to target both visitors and patients that may qualify for the Nest scheme via our health eligibility criteria. Since advertising in the hospital, we have seen a noticeable uplift in enquiries from the Bridgend area.”
