Connecting with police communicators across the UK

On Wednesday 27th November, Pulse was proud to be one of the sponsors of APComm 2024 Annual Academy, the national event for police communication professionals to come together, share best practices, and shape the future of public engagement.

This year’s event was an incredible opportunity for us to showcase how advertising within hospitals can support police forces in delivering impactful campaigns at the heart of their communities, while reaching a diverse audience of visitors, patients and NHS staff every day.

Highlights from the event

Lightning talk: Our Managing Director, Marion took to the stage to share how advertising in hospitals is an ideal solution for forces in helping to ensure messages are seen by the people locally. She explained how creative formats including digital screens, posters, and leaflets can help build trust and engagement where it matters most.

Special guests: Marion and Rob were lucky enough to meet Harvey and Ken, the wellbeing dogs from the National Police Wellbeing Service (NPWS), Oscar Kilo. These incredible dogs bring comfort and support to police teams across the country, and it was inspiring to learn about their positive impact. The NPWS is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of police officers and staff, and their vast range of services help forces build resilience, manage stress and prioritise mental health.

Looking ahead

We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by our stand, joined us for our talk, and shared their insights during the event. We look forward to continuing these valuable conversations and supporting police communicators with innovative ways to connect with their communities.
