Pulse is supporting police forces in strengthening public engagement through targeted communications campaigns across hospitals in the Midlands. Forces in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire, and the West Midlands are now benefitting from the roll-out of impactful, inclusive messaging delivered through a mix of posters and digital screens in high footfall areas.

Following our sponsorship of the Association of Police Communicators (APComm) event in Grantham last autumn and our participation in the APComm virtual academy on Tuesday, 13th May 2025, Pulse has been actively connecting with forces across the UK to help with their communications strategies.

Catherine Hickman, West Midlands Police, said: “We are constantly looking for new ways to engage with people in times or locations where they might see and retain our advice around various personal safety. Busy A&E departments are a key location to reach a wide variety of people and having the ability to share those messages simply and efficiently on a large digital screen as people arrive at hospital is a key tool in our efforts to make communities safer across the West Midlands.”

Did you know?

Campaigns reach a broad cross-section of the community, including people of all ages and backgrounds, including those who are digitally excluded or considered vulnerable. According to Age UK (June 2024), 10% of people aged 65 and over (approximately 2.3 million individuals) do not use the internet. With high-visibility advertising in hospitals, Pulse helps thousands of people see essential messages each day, while helping police forces build trust and encourage engagement with the communities they serve.
