Pulse is now live across Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, marking an exciting expansion into one of London’s most diverse and dynamic boroughs.

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust serves communities across both the north and south of the borough through two main sites: Croydon University Hospital and Purley War Memorial Hospital. Together, these hospitals play a vital role in delivering essential healthcare services to hundreds of thousands of residents each year.

A range of NHS services

Across its hospital sites, a range of NHS clinical services is delivered. This includes diagnostics, podiatry, audiology, diabetic care, cardiology, orthopaedics, gynaecology, midwifery, and dermatology. These services support patients at every stage of care, from routine outpatient appointments to specialist treatment and emergency services.

Croydon University Hospital

As the Trust’s largest site, Croydon University Hospital operates as a major acute hospital for the borough. More than 100 specialist services are provided, and there are over 500 hospital beds. Each year, approximately 27,000 elective (planned) inpatients are treated, while around 41,000 patients receive emergency care. In addition, more than 350,000 outpatient appointments are delivered annually. Furthermore, nearly 120,000 people attend the Accident and Emergency department each year, highlighting the hospital’s central role in serving the local community.

Purley War Memorial Hospital

Located in South Croydon, Purley War Memorial Hospital is primarily focused on delivering outpatient care and diagnostics. As a result, accessible NHS healthcare is delivered closer to home, ensuring convenience for local residents.

A large and diverse workforce

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is the largest employer in the borough and is recognised for having one of the most diverse workforces in London. This diversity reflects the community it serves and reinforces the Trust’s position at the heart of Croydon.

Advertising across Croydon NHS Hospitals

Through this new partnership, a network of static posters and digital advertising screens is now offered by Pulse across both hospital sites. These placements are positioned in high-footfall general areas as well as within specialist departments, and advertisers can now reach highly engaged, targeted audiences within this trusted healthcare environment.

This expansion strengthens Pulse’s growing presence within NHS settings. As a result, national and local advertisers and brands are now able to connect meaningfully with these local communities.
